Lord God,
Amid our tears,
We praise you gracious God,
That you have received our loved one,
In glory for eternity with You.

We thank you that your love surrounds (name),
That your angels surround (name),
And that your arms enfold (name) in grace and peace!

Comfort us now as we grieve.
Enable us to let go and say “your will be done,”
Trusting that you bring life from death,
And resurrection from sorrow.

O Lord,
You never leave us or forsake us,
In this hour assure us of your presence.
